Kate Wiebe is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology and PsyD Program Chair at Fuller’s School of Psychology, bringing more than 20 years of experience in clinical psychology, organizational consulting, ministry, teaching, and research. An ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA), she earned her Ph.D. in pastoral theology, personality, and culture from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
Kate founded and led the Institute for Collective Trauma and Growth for more than a decade and has supported response efforts following more than 30 disasters, including hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, and mass attacks. A practical theologian and psychologist, her research explores trauma, theology, emotion, and individual and group psychology. She is co-author of Recovering from Unnatural Disasters and continues her work with faith communities and organizations through Tide Well Consulting and Bide Well Psychotherapy.
